A plaid patchwork pullover with long sleeves over a matching wide-leg pant. The check is pieced in blocks rather than printed straight through, so it has the look of something quilted together — more interesting than a plain plaid and far more forgiving.

Pull it on with sneakers for the school run, swap to boots for supper out, and nobody would guess it took ten seconds. It also splits: the pullover goes over your jeans, the pants go with a plain cream tee.

Here is why it works on a real body. Both pieces have medium-to-high stretch, the pullover is cut roomy with a drop shoulder so nothing grips the arm, and the pant is a true wide leg with a relaxed waist. Nothing pinches, nothing clings, and the pieced pattern hides everything a solid knit would announce.

Biscuit is warm cream and tan — the neutral that goes with brown boots, camel, and every coat you own. Firelight is a deep brick red that carries you straight through the holidays. Balsam is a rich green, the one nobody else will be wearing, and it is beautiful with gold jewelry.

Fit & Sizing

Relaxed through the top and the leg. Take your usual size for the intended look, or size down if you want less volume. The pant inseam runs about 26.5 inches, which lands at the ankle on most of us. Measurements below are taken flat and unstretched, in inches.

Measurements may vary about half an inch either way from garment to garment. Because the plaid is pieced, the block placement is slightly different on every set.

Not every style carries every size.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft tape measure over close-fitting clothes, not over a sweater. Keep the tape level and snug but not tight.

Bust — around the fullest part of your bust, tape level all the way around.
Waist — around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
Hip — around the fullest part of your hips, roughly 8 inches below your waist.

Between two sizes? Size up for woven fabrics with no stretch, and size down if you want a closer fit in a knit. The product page fit note will tell you which applies.

A Note on Fit

Cut changes everything. The same body measurement wears differently depending on how a piece is made:

Relaxed or oversized — designed to skim, not fit close. Take your usual size unless you want less volume.
Smocked or elastic — forgiving across a wide range. Usually true to size.
Woven with no stretch — the least forgiving. Size up if you're between sizes.
One size fits most — generally comfortable through a Small to Large range.
Unisex — cut straighter through the body. Many women size down one.
