A soft fine knit with a mock neck and wide ribbed cuffs on short sleeves, cut straight and boxy so it skims rather than clings. Tuck it, leave it out, throw a vest over it. This is the piece you reach for on the mornings you have no plan.

Look at the measurements and you can see the cut: bust and hem are identical at every size, so the body falls perfectly straight with no taper — which is why it sits cleanly over a high-rise waistband instead of pulling across the hip. The dropped shoulder does the rest, letting the sleeve fall naturally instead of gripping the arm. And the ribbed trim at the neck and cuffs is what holds shape after a few wears, which is exactly where cheaper knits go first.

Shortbread Beige is the original — the solid we built to sit under our Gilded Leopard vest and over every plaid, dot and gingham in the line. Coffee Bean is a deep dark brown, warmer and softer against the face than black, and beautiful with denim, camel, cream and gold. Merlot is a rich wine red that flatters nearly every complexion and looks expensive against dark denim.

Fit & sizing

Cut close but never tight, and the stretch does the rest. Take your usual size for the intended fit, or size up if you would rather it skim. Measurements below are taken flat and unstretched, in inches.

Not every style carries every size.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft tape measure over close-fitting clothes, not over a sweater. Keep the tape level and snug but not tight.

Bust — around the fullest part of your bust, tape level all the way around.
Waist — around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
Hip — around the fullest part of your hips, roughly 8 inches below your waist.

Between two sizes? Size up for woven fabrics with no stretch, and size down if you want a closer fit in a knit. The product page fit note will tell you which applies.

A Note on Fit

Cut changes everything. The same body measurement wears differently depending on how a piece is made:

Relaxed or oversized — designed to skim, not fit close. Take your usual size unless you want less volume.
Smocked or elastic — forgiving across a wide range. Usually true to size.
Woven with no stretch — the least forgiving. Size up if you're between sizes.
One size fits most — generally comfortable through a Small to Large range.
Unisex — cut straighter through the body. Many women size down one.
